I have been wanting to write an update on Alimou for a while but have not had any pictures until now (The first picture is Dr. Mark and Dr. Gary with Alimou). Alimou is doing great. The Lord has done miraculous things in Alimou. All of the issues he was having are resolved.
Every day I see Alimou walking up and down the hall with big smile on his face just waiting to go home. He was supposed to go home last week but his flight was cancelled due to some instability in Guinea. On Monday he will take his flight back to Guinea and see his family for the first time in 3 weeks.
He will come back to the ship later in the outreach for a bone graft and they will remove any extra skin. It will be fun to see him again. When I look at the before and after pictures I am reminded of the transformations that happen here. It is incredible.
